«The National Museum of the History of Immigration and the MAC VAL - Museum of Contemporary Art of Val-de-Marne - join forces in a project for questions notion of hospitality through the prism of contemporary creation .
The two institutions - a museum of society that values contemporary creation and a museum of contemporary art that questions societal phenomena - together offer Persona grata, an exhibition in two places and a wide program, in which artists approach with their own vision and sensitivity all the dimensions of what constructs or jostles the notions of reception and otherness. An entry bought in one of the two museums gives access to the other museum for free.»

A partir de cette invitation, la performance La Mission Marchand se propose comme un geste symbolique face a la gestion problématique du territoire et de l'institution du Palais de la porte dorée (qui lui fais face) construit à l'occasion de l'Exposition coloniale de 1931, et qui abrite aujourd’hui le musée de l'Histoire de l'immigration.

Cet événement est organisé en écho à l’exposition « Persona grata », organisée conjointement par le Palais de la Porte dorée - Musée national de l’histoire de l’immigration et le MAC VAL, 16 août 2018 – 20 janvier 2019.
